Buca San Giovanni – dal 1882
nel cuore del Centro Storico di Firenze
Established in 1882, Ristorante Buca di San Giovanni is one of Italy's historic venues..
Originally the ancient Sacristy of the nearby Baptistery of San Giovanni, it also served as a secret initiation site for the Rosicrucian Freemasons and later became a gathering place for post-theater gatherings of prominent figures from politics, entertainment, sports, and Florentine business.
We recall the bachelor party of the Prince of Bulgaria in the 1930s and the visit of President John F. Kennedy in 1961.
Today, under the ancient vaults, one can still encounter well-known Florentine figures and distinguished guests passing through, who seek in our menu and atmosphere the pleasure of a delightful and joyful evening.
